When you ask other questions (about the bill, chopsticks, napkins, etc) there certainly has been communication breakdowns over the years. The restaurant is definitely a cultural melting pot and the service is usually limited to drink refills only. There is definitely a common language barrier that exists between most of the people eating at the restaurant and those working at the restaurant. It's an all you can eat buffet so don't expect much from the servers.
